Bishop Hershel Strother

Dr. BJ Strother is a national evangelist, whose love is to empower people everywhere. To empower and allow themselves to be used by God to help others and their church, in spite of their own personal pain, issues, and disappointments, thereby fulfilling the purpose of God in their lives. Empowerment she learned working in the Labor Movement over 44 years fighting for social justice for those less fortunate. It was here she really found her purpose in life.
Today she still uses these skills she learned in the labor movement, to help people of all walks of life in their personal and spiritual walks in life. In the union business it is called “organizing” and in church it is called “evangelizing.”
She serves with her husband, Bishop Hershel Strother, as Assistant of Maranatha Heavenly Ways Ministry as a Preacher, Teacher, Church Growth Evangelist, Pastoral Care Counselor, Labor Law Advocate, Life Coach, Mentor, Retreat Planner, Travel Agent, and Regional Overseer and Board Member for Shield of Faith Fellowship of Churches.
Her education was received in the city of Los Angeles and graduated from Manual Arts High School with honors in Math and Science. From there she went to Pepperdine College majoring in both Mathematics and Science. Onto Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena where she obtained her Masters in Theology and Pentecostal Bible College where she obtained her Doctorate. She also attended California Christian Institute where she became certified as a Pastoral Christian Counselor.
