“Encountering the Holy Spirit”

Ministry of Prayer

“Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you.” John 20:21

We believe that what he meant is that we can learn how to do the same things he did — that we can learn to pray effectively for the sick, deliver people from spiritual oppression, speak God’s heart directly to people through prophecy and words of knowledge, and help bring people into a fuller experience of God’s love.

Intercessory Prayer

Intercessory Prayer is simply praying on behalf of others and/or for specific situations and circumstances. Often referred to as “standing in the gap,” Intercessory Prayer is a way to build bridges between God and the people for whom we are praying. The Bible says that both Jesus and the Holy Spirit intercede for us (Romans 8:27), so we then are able and called upon to intercede on behalf of others.

Prayer Requests

“If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:14

Each one of us is on a journey over mountaintops and through valleys. In obedience to the instructions of Jesus, and in following in the footsteps of the early Christians, it is important that we  bring our requests, petitions, and praises to God regularly.
